Black with small golden grains that catch the light. Hides crumbs and water marks well.

    Steel Grey

Mid to dark grey with an even, fine grain. A calm choice that hides crumbs and water marks well.

    Kitchen and bathroom

  • Granite

Light grey-white with small grey and reddish-brown dots. Light granite should be sealed so it resists stains.

    Kitchen and bathroom

  • Granite

    Viscont White

White and grey with wavy grey and black bands. The pattern looks a bit like marble, but the stone is a hard granite.

    Kitchen and bathroom

  • Marble

    Bianco Carrara

Grey-white with fine, soft grey veins. The classic Italian marble.

    Best in bathrooms

Warm beige and cream marble with soft, light veining. Gives a bathroom a warm, calm feel.

    Best in bathrooms

An even, pure white surface with no pattern. Quartz doesn't absorb liquid, so it never needs sealing.

    Kitchen and bathroom

  • Quartz

    Quartz Calacatta

White with bold grey veins like Calacatta marble. You get the marble look on a surface that copes far better with lemon and red wine.

    Kitchen and bathroom

    Quartz Concrete

Light concrete grey with a fine grain and an even colour. Suits a clean, modern kitchen.

01

Granite

Granite is a very hard stone that handles heat, knives and daily use well. It also stands up to lemon and vinegar. That makes granite the safest choice for a kitchen.

02

Marble

Marble is softer and scratches more easily. Acid from lemon, vinegar, wine and some cleaning products can etch dull spots into the surface. Many people still choose it for the kitchen because of how it looks, but it suits bathrooms best.

03

Quartz

Quartz is an engineered slab made from crushed quartz and a binder. It is dense, so grease and liquid can't soak in, and it never needs sealing. The colour is very even from slab to slab. It does not handle direct heat, so put hot pans on a trivet.

    Questions and answers

    What people ask us

How much does a stone worktop cost?

It depends on the type of stone, the size and how many cutouts you need. Send us measurements or a photo, and you get a free, fixed quote within 24 hours. Asking does not commit you to anything.

Should I choose granite, marble or quartz?

Granite is very hard and handles heat, scratches and food acids well, so it is the safest choice for a kitchen. Marble is softer, and lemon, vinegar and wine can etch dull spots, but it suits bathrooms very well. Quartz is dense, never needs sealing and has a perfectly even colour. It does not handle direct heat, so use a trivet under hot pans.

    How long does it take?

It takes 7 to 10 days from your yes to a fitted worktop. Custom orders with an unusual stone can take 3 to 4 weeks. When the worktop is on its way to Oslo, we agree a fitting day with you.

Do you need to come and measure?

Yes. We base the quote on the measurements you send, but we make the worktop from our own final measuring in your home. That way it fits your walls and cabinets as they really are. Final measuring is included in the quote.

How do I look after the stone?

Wipe it with water and a mild soap, and avoid strong cleaning products. Granite and marble should be sealed, especially the light stones, so grease and colour don't soak in. Quartz does not need sealing. We tell you what applies to your worktop once it is fitted.

What if something is wrong with the worktop?

You have the right to complain under the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven) and the Craftsman Services Act (håndverkertjenesteloven). For goods meant to last a long time, like a worktop, the deadline is up to five years. Contact us as soon as you notice a fault, and we will look at it.

    Where do you fit worktops?

We fit in Oslo, Akershus and Drammen, including Bærum, Asker, Lillestrøm, Lørenskog, Nordre Follo, Nittedal and Drammen. If you live a little further out, ask us anyway.

Do you remove the old worktop?

Yes. Mention it when you ask for a quote, and we will include it.

Do you make worktops for IKEA kitchens?

Yes. We measure your cabinets at home and make the worktop to those measurements, also for Kvik, Epoq and other kitchens. More about stone worktops for IKEA kitchens (in Norwegian).

    How thick is the worktop?

The most common thicknesses are 2 cm and 3 cm. If you want a different thickness, we make the worktop the way you want it.
